of the commercialization potential of the developed technology of production of aromatic compositions, as well as determination of priority directions of implementation.<\/p>\n<p>The project implementation includes a detailed analysis of the developed technology from the viewpoint of options of commercialization thereof in an industrial environment.<\/p>\n<p>The task is consistent with the \u0141ukasiewicz Research Network objective \u201cIncrease of innovativeness and competitiveness of enterprises operating in Poland,\u201d it is an effect of the \u0141ukasiewicz Accelerator 2022 project and implements the \u0141ukasiewicz objective specified in Article 1(2)(2) as well as the \u0141ukasiewicz Centre objective indicated in Article 2(2)(2) of the Act of 21 February 2019 on the Research Institute (IBDiM), Poland<\/p>\n<p>Implementation period:<br \/>May 2021 \u2013 April 2023<\/p>\n<p>Project description: The project is intended to test the possibilities and manner of obtaining of high-quality, ecological, aqueous coating systems pigmented with zinc. The goal of the project will be achieved through selection and modification of the composition of the polymer matrix, as well as through addition of agents with particular stability as well as with barrier and mechanical-coating-enhancing properties. The project will utilize water-dilutable epoxy resin with an amount of modified zinc pigments reduced in comparison with traditional high-zinc anti-corrosion primers. In spite of a lower content of zinc in the coating, the developed primers will match or even surpass high-zinc primers in terms of protective properties, while simultaneously meeting the requirements of environmental protection regulations. The type-approval requirements and the methodology of demonstration of fulfillment of the requirements have been defined, along with a cost and time estimate of production of the parts in the thermoplastic composites technology. \u0141ukasiewicz-ILOT has selected composite materials with a thermoplastic matrix and a carbon fiber or glass fiber reinforcement with the expected costs. The project implementation resulted in development of anticorrosion primers containing zinc pigments at an amount lower by more than half than in traditional, generally used high-zinc primers, obtaining identical or, in some cases, better anticorrosion properties and better resistance to mechanical damage that those of high-zinc primers tested for comparison. The obtained results show that, using appropriately modified zinc pigments, one may obtain efficient zinc-pigmented paints which would be more environmentally-friendly than traditional high-zinc paints. The project was an extension of earlier preliminary works connected with production and testing of materials with piezoelectric properties. It was noticed that, apart from PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride), similar properties are exhibited by crystalline polyolefins subjected to appropriate physical modification.
