The statement was prepared on the basis of a self-assessment conducted by the Łukasiewicz Research Network – Institute of Engineering of Polymer Materials and Dyes
made on the basis of a checklist for website accessibility testing (version 2.2.) available on the gov.pl website in the “Digital Accessibility” tab.
The state of digital accessibility
The website is partially compliant with the Act of April 4, 2019 on the digital accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public entities.
The non-conformities are listed below:
• some content on the website, including illustrations and multimedia, does not contain digitally available alternative content;
• some of the content on the page, when enlarged to 200%, is not fully visible and does not work properly;
• elements such as main navigation buttons, checkboxes on forms, buttons in the video player and information carousels are not operable using only the keyboard;
• elements such as main navigation buttons, checkboxes on forms, and buttons in the video player do not have focus styles;
• elements including main navigation buttons, modal window buttons, and information carousel buttons have available texts
alternative in a language other than the language of the website;
• some user interface elements are graphically arranged differently than keyboard navigation;
• not all form fields have the functionality to automatically suggest appropriate values;
• the forms on the website do not contain content that helps you fill in the fields correctly or deal with errors.

sign language or interpreter – guide.
Everyone has the right to request digital accessibility of a website, mobile application or any of their elements. You can also request information to be provided in alternative forms, for example reading a digitally inaccessible document, describing the content of a film without audio description, etc.
The request should include the identity of the person making the request, an indication of which website or mobile application is being requested and a means of contact. If the requesting person
reports the need to receive information in an alternative form, it should also specify the form of this information.
The public entity should fulfill the request immediately and no later than within 7 days. If it is not possible to meet this deadline, the public entity shall immediately inform about when it will be possible to fulfill the request, but this deadline cannot be longer than 2 months. By March 31, 2025, the website will be adapted to legal requirements.
ARCHITECTURAL ACCESSIBILITY
The Łukasiewicz Research Network – Institute of Engineering of Polymer Materials and Dyes has the following locations:
1) 87-100 Toruń, ul. Marii Skłodowskiej-Curie 55 – headquarters of the Institute
and the Polymer Plastics Processing Center;
2) 44-100 Gliwice, ul. Chorzowska 50a – headquarters of the Paint and Plastics Center;
3) 05-820 Piastów, ul. Harcerska 30 – headquarters of the Elastomers and Rubber Center;
4) 87-100 Toruń, Sz. Chełmińska 30 – multi-story building (office building).
Apart from the Gatehouse, no other organizational units of the Institute are located in this building. However, there are other separate public entities
or economic.
The headquarters of the Institute in Toruń
You can get to the headquarters on your own or by public transport (MZK). The entrance to the main building is from the parking lot located on Marii Street
Skłodowska-Curie. There is a designated parking space for disabled people in the parking lot. The parking lot and entrance to the building are wheelchair accessible
wheelchairs and are marked with pictograms. At the entrance to the building there is a videophone for contact with an employee of the Secretariat.
You can enter the building and its rooms with an assistance dog and a guide dog, except in the Laboratory rooms, production halls and rooms subject to
special protection.
It is not possible for a deaf person to communicate with the Institute’s employees through a Polish sign language interpreter or guide interpreter.
People with mobility difficulties are accepted on the ground floor of the building.
There are no Braille signs in the building, no contrast markings or large print markings for the blind and visually impaired. There is no system
audio guidance for blind and visually impaired people.
There are no service stations with a hearing amplification system, i.e. with the so-called induction loop.
The toilet for disabled people is located on the ground floor in the building marked with the letter “C”. From the hall leading from the main entrance, go right through the connector
between the main building and building C, go straight through the entire hall next to the Laboratory and then turn right to the staircase, then turn left
in the corridor on the ground floor.
Headquarters of the Paint and Plastics Center in Gliwice
You can get to the headquarters on your own or by public transport.
The main entrance door is located on Grażyny Street, with stairs leading to the door (6 steps). The entrance is not adapted for wheelchair users
wheelchair accessible (no ramp or elevator). The door is equipped with an intercom enabling contact with an employee of the Secretariat. People in wheelchairs can reach the headquarters from the internal (company) parking lot, which is entered from ul. Chorzowska, the entrance located between properties no. 50 and 46, i.e. the office building of Przedsiębiorstwo Handlowo-Usługowe Jantar, and the Roman Catholic Church. Holy Family, then turn left just behind the Jantar building and enter the company parking lot (internal of the Institute). The entrance door is located at the end of the parking lot, on the ground floor, and is equipped with an intercom enabling contact with an employee of the Secretariat. A person in a wheelchair can enter the building only with the help of an Institute Employee. It is recommended that people with this type of disability announce their arrival before the planned visit by contacting an employee of the Secretariat at (32) 231 21 81 or by e-mail to the following address:

The headquarters of the Elastomers and Rubber Center in Piastów near Warsaw
You can get to the headquarters on your own or by public transport. In front of the main entrance from the street. There is a parking lot on Harcerska Street. The main entrance door is located on the parking lot side and is adapted for disabled people in wheelchairs. The main door slides (opens) automatically. After entering the building’s hall, on the right side there is a concierge service staffed by an employee of the agency for the protection of people and property. This employee serves customers or redirects them to the appropriate employee of the Institute.

It is not possible for a deaf person to communicate with the Institute’s employees through a Polish sign language interpreter or guide interpreter.

Office building at Sz. Chełmińska 30 in Toruń
You can get to the headquarters on your own or by public transport.
This building houses the Gatehouse serviced by an Institute Employee and other external business or public entities have their headquarters (premises).
The main entrance to the office building is located from the Chełmińska Road. There is a parking lot next to the building. It is not possible to enter the parking lot from this side of Chełmińska Road,
which is only possible from ul. Bawarczyków (entrance to ul. Bawarczyków from ul. Legionów between properties marked no. 17 and 19/21, at ul. Młodzieżowa, next to the building
Construction Technical School). The entrance to the parking lot is secured by a barrier opened for visitors by the Gatekeeper’s Employee (when called by phone – information
the telephone number is posted at the barrier). The parking lot has marked parking spaces for disabled people.
The parking lot and entrance to the building are wheelchair accessible (there is a ramp) and a vertical elevator is operated by the studio.
The porter’s office, which helps such people move via such an elevator to the ground floor of the office building.
The entrance to the building has an anti-slip surface, and on the approach and stairs there are point protrusions (so-called Braille plates/strips), and the handrails at the stairs have
Braille markings.
On the ground floor of the building there is a reception desk and information signs (boards and information signs) indicating convenient ways of moving around the area
building and the use of facilities, elevators and toilets.
The receptionist employee provides information and, in justified cases, can provide assistance in moving around inside the building.
From the ground floor, a person in a wheelchair can move independently to any floor using a public inter-floor elevator.
This elevator is equipped with elevator control buttons enabling reading in Braille, wheelchair access and communication between floors is possible,
and the buttons are placed at a height that allows them to be easily used by people in wheelchairs. The elevator is equipped with devices
informing about the position of the elevator, sound signaling or a speech synthesizer.
There are other public entities operating on individual floors of the Office Building, which publish information on their websites regarding architectural accessibility in their area (occupied premises).
You can enter public areas in the building (halls, staircases, elevator) with an assistance dog and a guide dog.
It is not possible for a receptionist to serve a deaf person through a Polish sign language interpreter or a guide interpreter, or by means of
hearing amplification system, i.e. the so-called induction loop.
There is a toilet adapted for wheelchair users on the first floor below the ground floor. You need to take an elevator to get to this toilet
between floors – the button in the elevator marked “-1”.
