The Łukasiewicz Research Network – Institute of Polymer Materials has the following locations:

1. 87-100 Toruń , Marii Skłodowskiej-Curie Street 55 – headquarters of the Institute and the Centre for Polymer Processing;
2. 44-100 Gliwice , Chorzowska Street 50a – headquarters of the Centre for Paints and Plastics ;
3. 05-820 Piastów , Harcerska Street 30 – headquarters of the Centre for Elastomers and Rubber and the Centre for Printing Materials ;
4. 87-100 Toruń , Sz. Chełmińska Street 30 – multi-story building ( office building ). Apart from the Concierge’s Lodge, no other organizational units of the Institute are located in this building. However, other separate public or commercial entities operate.

The entrance to the main building is from the car park located on Marii Skłodowskiej-Curie Street. There is a designated parking space for disabled people in the car park. The car park and the entrance to the building are adapted for wheelchair users and are marked with pictograms. At the entrance to the building there is a video intercom for contacting a member of the Secretariat staff.

Access to the building and its rooms is permitted with assistance dogs and guide dogs, except in the Laboratory, production halls, and areas subject to special protection.

It is not possible to assist deaf individuals with Institute staff through a Polish sign language interpreter or interpreter-guide.

Persons with mobility difficulties are admitted to the ground floor of the building.

There are no Braille signs, contrasting signs, or large-print signs for the blind and visually impaired. There is no audio guidance system for the blind and visually impaired.

There are no service desks with a hearing amplification system, i.e., an induction loop.

The accessible restroom is located on the ground floor of building “C.” From the hall leading from the main entrance, turn right through the connecting passage between the main building and building C, proceed straight through the entire hall by the Laboratory, and then turn right to the stairwell. Then turn left into the ground floor corridor.

The headquarters of the Paints and Plastics Center in Gliwice

You can reach the office by car or by public transportation. The main entrance is located on Grażyny Street, and there are 6 steps leading up to the door. The entrance is not wheelchair accessible (no ramp or elevator). The door is equipped with an intercom allowing you to contact a member of staff at the Secretariat.

Wheelchair users can access the office from the internal (company) parking lot, which is accessed from Chorzowska Street between properties no. 50 and 46, i.e., the Jantar Trade and Service Company office building, and the Roman Catholic Church of the Holy Family. Then, turn left immediately behind the Jantar building and enter the company parking lot (the Institute’s internal parking lot). The entrance door is located at the end of the parking lot, on the ground floor, and is equipped with an intercom system allowing communication with a member of the Secretariat. Wheelchair users can only enter the building with the assistance of an Institute employee. You can reach the building on your own or by public transportation. Parking is available in front of the main entrance on Harcerska Street. The main entrance door is located on the parking lot side and is wheelchair-accessible. The main door slides open automatically. Upon entering the building’s lobby, a concierge desk is located on the right, staffed by a security officer. This officer serves visitors or directs them to the appropriate Institute employee. Access

It is not possible to assist deaf individuals with Institute staff through a Polish sign language interpreter or interpreter-guide. Persons with mobility difficulties are admitted to the ground floor of the building.

There are no service desks with hearing amplification systems, i.e., induction loops. There is no toilet adapted for disabled people, but a standard toilet is available.

The office building at Sz. Chełmińska 30 in Toruń

allows for self-access or public transportation. The building houses a concierge desk staffed by an Institute employee, and other external businesses and public entities have their offices (premises).

The main entrance to the Office Building is located on the Chełmińska Road. Parking is available adjacent to the building. Access to the parking lot from this side of Chełmińska Road is only possible from Bawarczyków Street (entrance to Bawarczyków Street is from Legionów Street between properties marked No. 17 and 19/21, parallel to Młodzieżowa Street, next to the Technical School of Construction). The parking lot entrance is secured by a barrier opened for visitors by a Concierge (upon phone call – the telephone number is displayed at the barrier).

The parking lot has designated disabled parking spaces. The parking lot and entrance to the building are wheelchair accessible (a ramp is provided). A vertical elevator operated by a concierge assists wheelchair users in accessing the elevator to the ground floor of the office building.

The building entrance has a non-slip surface, and the approach and stairs are equipped with Braille markings.

The concierge is located on the ground floor of the building, along with information signs (boards and information signs) indicating convenient access to the building and the use of facilities, elevators, and restrooms.

A concierge employee provides information and, in appropriate cases, can assist with movement within the building.

From the ground floor, wheelchair users can independently access any floor using the public inter-story elevator.

This elevator is equipped with Braille-reading elevator buttons, wheelchair access, and communication between floors, and the buttons are positioned at a height that allows wheelchair users to easily use them. The elevator is equipped with devices that indicate the elevator’s position, audible signals, or a speech synthesizer.

Other public entities operate on individual floors of the Office Building and publish information on their websites regarding architectural accessibility within their premises (occupied premises). Access

to public areas in the building (lobbies, stairwells, elevator) is permitted with an assistance dog or guide dog.

A concierge staff member cannot assist deaf individuals with the assistance of a Polish sign language interpreter or interpreter-guide, or with a hearing amplification system, i.e., an induction loop. A

wheelchair-accessible restroom is located on the first floor below the ground floor . To get to this toilet, you need to use the inter-story elevator – the elevator button is marked “-1”.
