2021 The Patent Office of the Republic of Poland has granted patents for inventions to the Institute:
Main application:
Improving the rheological properties of polar rubber blends and the aging resistance of their vulcanizates.
Advantages of the invention:
Management of recyclable materials.
Main application:
Use as a primer coat for steel substrates.
Advantages of the invention:
The advantage is the composition of the composition, in which there is no typical anti-corrosion pigment, i.e. zinc phosphate, but still provides corrosion protection for the steel substrate.
Main application:
Use as a primer coat for steel substrates.
Advantages of the invention:
The paint contains a reduced amount of zinc, compared to traditional zinc primers while providing comparable or even better protective properties.
Main application:
Patent can be used to make piezoelectric films for touch and motion sensors, replacing expensive PVDF film.
Advantages of the invention:
The proposed solution is based on readily available mineral components and crystalline polyolefins (MDPE, HDPE, EW. i-PP) It matches the imported PVDF film in piezoelectric and dielectric properties.
Main application:
The shredder is characterized by a two-stage cutting system. It is equipped with rollers that feed the material in the form of a line, which, after pre-cutting, then enters the main cutting chamber.
Advantages of the invention:
The cutting system is based on replaceable fixed and movable knives, embedded in a shaft socket. This solution ensures low cost of replacing individual blades. Another interesting element of the device is the cutting shaft transmission system, which converts the rotary motion of the motor into a linear motion of the knives. The geometry of the knives and the way they are cut makes it possible to granulate flexible materials while keeping the amount of waste low and avoiding the “jerking” effect.
Main application:
The extruder with an induction heating system allows the extruder cylinder to be heated up to 600°C in less than 15 minutes. It is used in universal filament lines, working with typical plastics such as PLA and ABS, and high-temperature plastics such as PEEK and PPS.
Advantages of the invention:
Significantly reducing the extruder cylinder heating time from the standard 1.5 – 2 hours to 15 minutes. Increasing the maximum operating temperature of the extruder from the previously achieved approx. 400°C to 600°C while maintaining the ability to work at lower temperatures. Providing the ability to work with high-temperature materials already available on the market and with others developed in the future.
