We have participated in the 8th Intelligent Development Forum in Uniejów.

This unique scientific and technological event is dedicated to “the dissemination of cutting-edge scientific research and innovative technologies that have a high chance of market success and improving the standard and safety of our lives now or in the coming years.”

This year, the winner of the Scientist of the Future award in the “Woman of science who changes the world” category was our scientist, Dr. Katarzyna Janczak, for implementing the research project titled “A bioproduct that accelerates the decomposition of biodegradable polymeric materials in compost.”

Dr. Katarzyna Janczak is a graduate of the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, where in 2019 she obtained a PhD in exact and natural sciences in the discipline of biological sciences at the Faculty of Biology and Environmental Protection.

From the beginning of her scientific career, she has been working with microorganisms originating from anthropogenically degraded areas.

She participated in 11 research projects on biodegradation, biodegradable plastics and materials with biocidal properties.
