“POLIMER” Research Laboratory conducts laboratory tests in the area of polymer materials, including: optical testing, physio-mechanical and thermal testing, plastic film activation tests, and microbiological testing.
At the accredited “Polimer” laboratory located at the Polymer Material Processing Centre in Toruń, we determine physio-mechanical, structural and thermal parameters of polymers and plastic products, such as plastic film or film packages; we hold a PCA accreditation.
Among other things, our offer also includes: material identification, analysis of gas mixture composition inside packages, gas and vapour permeability, as well as testing for biocidal effect, fungi and mould resistance. We determine the biodegradability of materials. We prepare experimental batches of composites and ready samples or products in the form of plastic film (blown and flat), tapes, filaments, which may be used for testing.
The laboratory’s equipment includes a HITACHI SU8010 scanning electron microscope (SEM) equipped with SE detectors, a BSE detector and an EDX detector, enabling sample structure analysis at a micro and nano scale.
